If you’re unsaved, meaning you have not confessed with your mouth and believed in your heart that Jesus Christ died and arose from the dead….please read on. Simply put, understand that if you have broken God’s law (the ten commandments) – if you’ve lied (that makes you a liar), stolen (that makes you a thief), had lustful thoughts about someone (that makes you an adulterer in God’s sight because He judges the heart), used God’s name in vain (that makes you a blasphemer), dishonored your parents……understand that your current standing with a Holy God is that you are sinful and you are guilty before Him.
And because God is so Holy, He must and will punish sin. And if you’re found guilty on the Day of Judgment, an eternity in Hell is a fair and just punishment for anyone who breaks the law of God. Its not mean or unfair; its justice. The same way that a human judge can’t just look past wrongdoing (otherwise he’d be a corrupt and unjust judge), neither will God. Every person who has ever lived will stand before Him one day and be judged for what they have done here on earth.
But God, who is also kind and so loving, sent His Son to die on a cross to absorb the wrath for all sinners who would believe on Him.
You must repent and turn from your sin and trust the Savior Jesus Christ to save you the same way a man jumping out of a plane trusts in a parachute to save him from hitting the ground. Believe on His work on the cross and that it is sufficient to cleanse you of your sins. And trust God to keep you and continue to mold you into the image of His Son who is the model of perfection and sinlessness. But to all those who reject the Lord Jesus Christ – remember, an eternity in hell, facing the wrath of God forever is a reasonable and just penalty. Revelation 21:8 says that all liars will have their part in the lake of fire. And God will fulfill the things in His Word… whether you believe it or not.
If you’re claiming to be a Christian and you know your walk is shady – we pray that you examine yourself (1 John 3:9-10). See if you are in the faith. Cry out to God in humility and He will hear you. Be honest with yourself and get in your Bible.
We pray that this message was clear. Ignorance can no longer be your claim, as it will not hold up in the Day of Judgment.
Consider what you now know.
Grace and peace.
