Archive for October, 2011

Suffering is a common denominator in all our lives.  As common denominator, it stands as an unescapeable fact of life.

When our lives are crowded with such facts as:

  • economic difficulties,
  • unfulfilled plans
  • health complications,
  • social isolations,
  • and lost loved-ones

we question God. We question God’s sovereignty and His very existence.  The church and the world through the years have held these questions as objections to faith in God.  On October 28th, we intend on diving into some of the questions and objections surrounding Suffering, Saints, and the Sovereignty of God (that’s our topic!).

Guest Speaker: Dr. Peter Lee

He is the Founding Pastor of Living Hope Presbyterian Church in Clarksville, MD and Assistant Professor of Old Testament at Reformed Theological Seminary (DC Campus).
